Marianne Bridgart

Since 1999 Marianne Bridgart has acted as the Project Manager and Administrator for the majority of GFN’s research, strategy design and facilitation engagements.

Prior to co-founding Global Foresight Network Marianne was the production manager for a news monitoring service which specialised in verbatim and summarised versions of critical media comment for clients. She also worked with the CEO of one of New Zealand’s largest communications companies as part of the establishment team.

Before this Marianne worked in export trading with a particular focus in horticulture, meat and fish exports. As the NZ Export Manager for WM Scollay & Co., who were the exclusive NZ agents for Sumitomo Corporation, she was involved in the initiation and development of significant new export products including New Zealand’s Hops, Green Tea and Wasabi to Japan. In her export manager role she was also a key member of the group that initiated the export of squash to Japan from Tonga. This is now the second largest income earner for that country. Marianne is regarded as a role model as a Pacific Island business person and was the manager/organiser of an Asian Pacific conference on behalf of the Pacific Island Chamber of Commerce.

Marianne is currently studying Psychology and Sociology at Deakin University.
